Eastern Pneumatics has changed its name to Eastern Pneumatics & Hydraulics, effective from 1 May this year.

Losing pressure

15 May, 2007 by Darla Jean Thompson

In a positive displacement pump, flow is directly related to rpm and pressure by the restriction of the flow in the discharge line. Once the system pressure is set, any change in flow will result in a change in pressure.

Recycling water at car wash

13 April, 2007 | Supplied by: All Pumps Sales & Service

A commercial car wash in Queensland has implemented a water filtration loop to maximise this resource in a region classified as a Level 4 water restriction zone

Lead screws with TFE coating

12 April, 2007 | Supplied by: Motion Technologies Pty Ltd

Kerk Motion Products' lead screw, linear rail, spline shaft and ScrewRail actuator assemblies are available with Kerkote TFE coating. The coating reduces friction and extends the life of Kerk's assemblies, which are suitable for motion control applications in a variety of industries.

Gentle pump

12 April, 2007 | Supplied by: A&D Australasia Pty Ltd

The G/V series pumps have a rotation speed from 190 up to 900 rpm in order to guarantee extremely gentle pumping. They are particularly suitable for handling wine, oil, vinegar and beer. They are suitable for pumping liquids with solids in suspension, such as grapes and other viscous liquids.

Diaphragm control valve

20 March, 2007 | Supplied by: Burkert Fluid Control Systems

The pneumatically operated plastic body type 2730 diaphragm valve comprises hermetical separation of fluids from the operating mechanism by the diaphragm, and is rated for use with potable water and for sterile to aggressive applications.

Angle seated valve

14 March, 2007 | Supplied by: Eastern Pneumatics & Hydraulics Pty Ltd

The Tanair range of angle seated valves and actuators is constructed of 316 stainless steel and are spring return as standard.

High flow valves

14 March, 2007 | Supplied by: SMC Australia | New Zealand

The series VQ5000, 5-port solenoid valve is designed to drive large bore actuators in applications requiring rapid movement of heavy loads. A significant feature of the series is the simplicity of valve replacement.

Tax concession for hydraulics R&D

14 March, 2007 by Wendy Cramer, Journalist

A government concession has helped Parkes Hydraulics Services to grow from two to 10 staff members and contribute to its local economy

Hands-free hydraulic pump

14 February, 2007 | Supplied by: http://www.enerpac.com.au/

The P-392FP series lightweight (7 kg) hydraulic foot pump is designed for use in house, on site, onshore or offshore where larger and heavier electrical or pneumatic pumps are not needed or not available.

Air dryers

22 January, 2007 | Supplied by: http://www.smc.co.nz/

The Refrigerated Air Dryers series IDFB*E is suitable for use in general industry, including the packaging, printing, machine tool, medical and semiconductor industries, to provide dry and clean compressed air to extend the life of the machinery and reduce the down time and maintenance cost.

Nonmetallic pump

22 January, 2007 | Supplied by: http://www.interchem.com.au/

The Pulsafeeder Eclipse nonmetallic magnetic drive pump is suitable for low flow operations where centrifugal pumps perform inefficiently and can experience cavitation, increased radial loads and unstable flow.

Actuation and control system

22 January, 2007 | Supplied by: http://www.burkert.com/

AirLine allows Rockwell's Point I/O modules, Siemens ET200S modules, Phoenix Inline I/O modules or Wago I/O System 750 modules to be combined with the Bürkert solenoid valve units mounted on a single DIN rail assembly.

Cruise control option

22 January, 2007 | Supplied by: http://www.piab.com.au/

The PIAB Cruise Control (PCC) automatically maintains a pre-set level of vacuum to ensure that a consistent vacuum level is provided at the suction point. The PCC allows the pump to always only consume the energy that the optimised vacuum level requires.
