The Refrigerated Air Dryers series IDFB*E is suitable for use in general industry, including the packaging, printing, machine tool, medical and semiconductor industries, to provide dry and clean compressed air to extend the life of the machinery and reduce the down time and maintenance cost.

The dryers are built with a stainless steel heat exchanger providing long life and low pressure drops and are UL listed up to sizes covering 160 scfm flows. The series use environmentally-friendly R134a/R407C refrigerant to provide pressure dewpoint of 3&degC and has a simple control system, incorporating an easy-to-read evaporator gauge. The compact dryers come with staggered inlet/outlet ports for easy installation and have a 3/8" push-in condensate drain port.

To complement the dryers, SMC also provides main line filters to remove oil, water and dirt particles in the compressed air, with filtration grade ranging from 0.01 to 0.3 &microm. Also available are the point-of-use FRL (filter, regulator, lubricator) combination units or the individual unit.

As a complementary product to the refrigerated dryers, the membrane dryer Series IDG is suitable for point-of-use application providing dewpoints as low as -60&degC for medical and dental applications.
