Fast/Gigabit Ethernet switch
13 March, 2009The managed Fast/Gigabit Ethernet switch of the MACH1000 family from Hirschmann Automation and Control has all its ports with the exception of a service port located on the rear of the device. The 24 Fast Ethernet ports, up to four of which support PoE, are available with M12 connections as well as in any combination for other connectors such as MTRJ, St, SC or RJ45. For the gigabit uplinks, two combo ports (10/100/1000 Base-Tx) are optionally available and can be equipped with SFP fibre modules (1000 Base-Fx/SX/LX/LH). In this way, the new design offers a high bandwidth in combination with industry-proven M12 connection technology.

Scalance ethernet switches
11 March, 2009The Scalance XB-000 range of unmanaged industrial ethernet switches have IP20 protection, and are suitable for use in industrial environments that are not particularly harsh. Due to the compact box design, the low-cost switches can be fitted on a standard DIN rail in a control cabinet. The XB005, XB008, XB004-1 and XB004-1LD versions have up to eight standard RJ45 ports or four RJ45 ports and a fibre-optic port.
