HMS 1 SI CANopen module for Simatic ET200S

HMS has extended the functionality of its 1 SI CANopen module for the Simatic ET200S I/O system with the integration of the CAN 2.0A protocol. In addition to the standard CANopen protocol, the HMS 1 SI CANopen module can also be used for transmission/ reception of any CAN 2.0A frame regardless of the overlaying CAN application protocol. The extended functionality maximises usability and flexibility of the CAN gateway. Typical applications include all kinds of machines and automation systems where CAN- or CANopen-enabled devices are used in combination with Siemens PLCs.

Siemens has launched its first Profienergy products: the Simatic ET 200S PM-E RO power module for the Simatic ET 200S High Feature distributed I/O system, and function blocks for Simatic controllers. The power module specifically switches off individual inputs and outputs of the Simatic ET 200S High Feature I/O system and disconnects their connected loads from the power supply.

Turck has expanded its diagnostic power conditioner system with a single-segment redundant backplane that can combine two isolated power supply modules into one FOUNDATION fieldbus segment. The backplane includes an integrated diagnostic unit used to monitor the redundancy of the external bulk power supply along with the H1 power supply - aiding in the availability of the H1 segment. System status is available via a relay contact.
