Hydac EDS 4400 programmable electronic pressure switch

11 May, 2011 by

The EDS 4400 programmable electronic pressure switch with pressure-resistant encapsulation has triple approval according to ATEX (KEMA 10ATEX0100 X), CSA (MC 224264) and IECEx (KEM 10.0053X).

National Instruments 9792 WSN gateway and WSN-3226 measurement node

26 April, 2011

National Instruments has announced two additions to the communication and measurement capabilities of the NI wireless sensor network (WSN) platform. The 9792 is a programmable WSN gateway that can communicate with NI WSN measurement nodes as well as other hardware through a variety of open communication standards, and the WSN-3226 voltage/resistance temperature detector (RTD) combination node provides support for resistance-based measurements such as RTDs and potentiometers and provides engineers and scientists the ability to combine voltage and temperature measurements on a single NI WSN device.

Turck LI-Q17 inductive miniature linear displacement sensor

23 April, 2011

Designed for very short measuring ranges between 50 and 200 mm, the LI-Q17 miniature linear displacement sensor doesn’t work with a magnetic locator but with the resonant circuit measuring principle, where an object’s position is detected via an inductive oscillating system, consisting of a condenser and a coil. The sensor is designed to work reliably where the functionality of a magnetic position device is affected by electromagnetic fields caused by large motors or welding plants.

Turck rotary inductive sensors

13 April, 2011 by

Turck has introduced a line of rotary inductive analog sensors that provide 360° angular measurement. The rotary inductive sensors use resistance inductive capacitance (RLC) measuring technology, rather than a traditional magnetic positioning element, so as to deliver better immunity to EMC interference.

Allen-Bradley 42CS family washdown photoelectric sensors

22 March, 2011 by

The Allen-Bradley 42CS family sensors are engineered to address high-pressure and harsh chemical cleaning conditions.

Turck QP08 ferrite core-free non-flush proximity sensor

21 March, 2011 by

The QP08 is a ferrite core-free uprox+ sensor. The compact factor-1-sensor offers a high EMV and magnetic field stability, as well as large switching distances for all metals, and is designed for use in cramped spaces such as in packaging machines. Because in this area of application aluminium is usually used as a target-material, the factor-1-sensor reaches up to 300% higher switching distances, compared to customary sensors.

Balluff Global.CProx capacitive sensors

21 March, 2011 by

The Global.CProx line of capacitive sensors is designed to solve object and level detection applications. The Global.CProx family includes a wide array of tubular M12, M18 and M30 sensors available with either M12 connectors or pre-wired cables. All of the Global.CProx sensors offer reverse polarity and short-circuit protection with enhanced EMC protection.

25 February, 2011 by

The ASM Positape WB17KT series of stainless steel tape sensors provide measurement ranges of 3500, 6500 and 10000 mm. They are robust sensors featuring a long service life and a compact housing specifically designed for rugged and harsh environments.

Banner Engineering World-Beam QS30AFF400 and QS30AF600 sensors

25 February, 2011 by

The World-Beam QS30AFF400 foreground suppression sensor and QS30AF600 background suppression sensor use linear imager technology to provide a sensing solution for many industrial applications, including part-in-place detection, feeder-bowl control and package detection on conveyors.

Micro-Epsilon optoNCDT 1402SC IP69K laser displacement sensor

11 January, 2011

The Micro-Epsilon optoNCDT 1402SC IP69K laser displacement sensor is a laser triangulation sensor with stainless steel housing for protection from harsh environments.

Posital ACS II series inclinometers

10 January, 2011 by

Posital has extended its range of inclinometers based on MEMS technology with the ACS II series. The devices have shock resistance up to 100g and vibration resistance up to 10g. Their IP69K protection means that they are suited for rugged environments, since they resist high-pressure cleaning and can be installed in mobile machines, and they are designed for a wide temperature range (-40 to +85°C).

Gefran ONP1-A magnetostrictive linear position sensor

20 December, 2010 by

The Gefran ONP1-A contactless magnetostrictive linear position sensor consists of an alloy body containing the sensor and all electronics to produce 4-20 mA proportional to the position of a magnet along the body. The magnet can be mounted on a separate mechanical part, or on a sliding carriage that moves on tracks on the alloy body. Power supply is 24 VDC ±20%.
