Turck rotary inductive sensors

Wednesday, 13 April, 2011 | Supplied by: Turck Australia Pty Ltd

Turck has introduced a line of rotary inductive analog sensors that provide 360° angular measurement. The rotary inductive sensors use resistance inductive capacitance (RLC) measuring technology, rather than a traditional magnetic positioning element, so as to deliver better immunity to EMC interference.

The rotary inductive sensors are IP67 rated with a temperature range of -40 to 70°C, making the devices suitable for measuring the angle of solar panels, wind turbine blade position, crane position and other outdoor applications. The sensor and its positioning element are designed as separate pieces, allowing the positioning element to be mounted in a variety of unique ways - including directly onto a rotating shaft - without experiencing the wear common to these types of sensors.
