Paddle flow monitors for simple flow applications

When it comes to the monitoring of flow processes, the industrial market is spoilt for choice, although finding a reliable and affordable solution for a simple flow application can sometimes be a daunting task. This is where Kobold Instrumentation steps in to make the selection process simple.

The PSR and PSE paddle flow monitors from Kobold reliably monitor flow rates with various sizes available to suit a variety of applications.

Depending on the flow rate, a baffle plate is in direct contact with the process medium and is deflected against the force of a leaf spring. The deflection is transferred to the reed contact outside of the flow medium by means of a permanent magnet. The reed contact can then be positioned along the flow scale to ensure that it only activates at the desired flow rate.

The PSR device is available in seven different sizes and is designed to be installed inline of the process, whilst the PSE variant is an insertion paddle switch with a single ½″ process connection so that it may be inserted into T-piece junctions for pipe diameters 2″ and larger. Regardless of the installation method needed for the application, two materials are offered to offer a high-pressure solution for those unique applications.
