Kobold KAL flow monitor
The compact KAL flow monitoring devices manufactured by Kobold are designed to observe and transmit the status of flow within a pipe without the use of moving parts or extensively modifying the existing pipework.
Possessing no moving parts, the KAL utilises the calorimetric principle to continuously check the flow of water-based liquids with minimal pressure loss exerted. Without the need to utilise moving parts within the process medium, the KAL flow monitor utilises a single stainless-steel component to be inserted into the process medium, which makes it ideally suited for food and beverage applications and clean-in-place (CIP) requirements.
Depending on the KAL model selected, the flow monitor may be utilised as a flow switch or flow transmitter that can be connected to a larger electronic ecosystem within the process plant.
The insertion design of the KAL is further complemented with the choice of process connections available in varying sizes of threaded connections or, for sanitary purposes, an optional Tri-Clamp® fitting.
