Outdoor-safe laser scanner

09 June, 2009 | SICK Pty Ltd

The OS2000 is a certified-safe laser scanner system for outdoor use. It combines the hardware and software of the Sick LMS outdoor laser measurement system with the safety level of the UE4470 safe programmable logic controller, which is certified as a safety component within the sense of the Machine Directive. Typical application examples of the system solution, which received approval from TÜV Rhineland, include door and gate protection, cranes, manned and unmanned vehicles, waterway structures such as bascule bridges or locks, and rail or conveyor systems.

Encoders

01 April, 2009 | SICK Pty Ltd

The AFM60 absolute multiturn encoder from Sick Stegmann has improved ruggedness and 30-bit resolution. Its smaller brother, the AFS60 absolute single-turn encoder, provides a resolution of 18 bits.

Array sensor

01 April, 2009 | SICK Pty Ltd

The Ax20 array sensor has a high-resolution line array that allows objects to be detected with a repeatable accuracy of 50 µm. It is suitable for detecting edges, inspecting material thicknesses, counting parts or determining positions.

Distance sensor

01 April, 2009 | SICK Pty Ltd

The DT50 series measuring and switching distance sensors have been designed for medium ranges of up to 10 m. They exhibit a 20 ms response time, 1 mm resolution and 10 mm accuracy.

Fibre-optic photoelectric switch

19 September, 2007 | SICK Pty Ltd

The WLL190T-2 fibre-optic photoelectric switch from Sick has two programmable switching thresholds per device, an additional analog output and a response time of 60 µs. Together with over 80 different fibre-optic cables in the Sick LL3 series, it is suitable for those tasks where little mounting space is available, the sensor head (ie, the fibre-optic cable) must be adapted to meet the needs of the application, or the sensor (as an evaluation unit) must be installed at a distance to the objects to be detected - due to EMC, high temperatures or chemical effects.

Omnidirectional code reader

20 August, 2007 | SICK Pty Ltd

The ICR803 is an omnidirectional code reader in a compact housing. It is intended for applications in which objects must be identified in any alignment but there is only limited mounting space for the reading device.

Quick-lock connector

13 June, 2007 | SICK Pty Ltd

The M12 standard is currently the predominant standard as far as actuator and sensor wiring is concerned in the machine installation area. There are now many different M12 systems with quick-lock connectors on the market. However, most of these systems do not have a quick-lock connector that can be used with standard sensors.

Smart cameras

20 March, 2007 | SICK Pty Ltd

The IVC-3D 30 smart camera has been specially designed to view small and miniature parts, while the IVC-3D 300 focuses on large objects such as loaded pallets - thus, they are suitable, for example, as sensors for the visual guidance of robots. Like all the other IVC-3D systems, the new versions also leave the factory already calibrated. These smart cameras are also quickly ready for operation as data output takes place in mm.

Volume measurement system

10 May, 2005 | SICK Pty Ltd

The VMS 520 Volume Measurement System consists of two sensor heads that are mounted on a vibration-proof gantry frame.

Safety sensor range

14 November, 2004 | SICK Pty Ltd

The IN 300 and IN 3000 series are inductive systems whose optional cubic or cylindrical sensors detect the presence of metal. Integration of the manual restart and external device monitoring functions in the evaluation modules of the IN series bring about considerable savings in safety relays, as three (IN 300) or six (IN 3000) sensors can be connected to each module.

Ultrasonic proximity sensor

09 July, 2004 | SICK Pty Ltd

The ultrasonic proximity switch UPL 200 of SNT Sensortech-nik AG is designed for de-tection in the close range up to 200 mm.

Ultrasonic sensor

07 June, 2004 | SICK Pty Ltd

Ultrasonic sensors are used in industry and process automation for measure-ment of distance, level and proximity. They are suitable for detection of objects with very different surfaces and materials, as well as under difficult environmental conditions such as dust, dirt, fog, bright light.
