SAP and IBM join forces

Monday, 19 March, 2007

SAP Australia and IBM Australia today announced an agreement that will see IBM and its Business Partner network take SAP all-in-one industry-specific ERP solutions to the local mid-market.

Under the new agreement, IBM and its business partners will deliver SAP all-in-one and IBM's own portfolio of all-in-one solutions marketed under the brand name IBM Express Solutions.

SAP all-in-one makes it easier and affordable for midsize companies to access, deploy and quickly realise the benefits of the world's leading ERP software.

Local wholesale distributors and manufacturers will be first to benefit from the new offerings with IBM Express Wholesale Distribution Solution available immediately and IBM Express Fabrication & Assembly Solution due in late March.

As a result of the agreement, the distribution channel for SAP all-in-one in Australia will be greatly expanded, making widespread delivery and support of the mid-market version available to local organisations everywhere.

"This agreement combines SAP solutions with IBM's vast resource of technology and business consulting expertise right across Australia," Alan Hyde, CEO and managing director of SAP Australia and New Zealand, said.
