Citect, a Schneider Electric company, has been named the Asia Pacific HMI and SCADA Company of the Year at the prestigious 2008 Frost and Sullivan Asia Pacific Industrial Technological Awards.

This latest honour follows the company’s success earlier in the year when it won the Frost and Sullivan Industrial Process Control Market Leadership in SCADA Systems award.

Scott Drury, vice-president of Asia for Citect, and Alex Khoo, South East Asia zone director of Schneider Electric, accepted the award at the banquet dinner in Singapore recently.

“We’re extremely honoured to accept this award,” Drury said.

“It is a measure not only of the company’s success, but also the teams at Citect and Schneider which make developing and improving our technology their number one priority.

“We are constantly striving to evolve our products to ensure they continue to provide real business benefits to our customers, but being recognised for our efforts is a real privilege.”

This year the awards recognised outstanding performances by companies in industries including electronics and security, industrial automation and process control, energy and power systems, chemicals materials and food industries.
