Self-validating point level sensor

The SafePoint from Monitor Technologies LLC is a self-validating point level sensor for monitoring the presence and absence of powders, granular materials and other bulk solids. It is completely fail-safe and can be used in bins, silos and other vessels with process temperature conditions up to 399°C to shut off bin filling and protect against overfilling due to unknown sensor failures.

Using rotary paddle, Hall effect and microcontroller technologies, the SafePoint point level sensor is self-validating and continuously monitors its internal functions to determine if it is operating properly and to determine if the process material is present or absent at the point of monitoring. The SafePoint can be used for high, low or intermediate point level monitoring.

The SafePoint features self-validating techniques, microcontroller-based reliability, two outputs for both material sensing and unit health status, a motor shut-off feature for extended life and lower maintenance and a local status light. It has hazardous location approvals including IECEx DIP A21 TA 85°C, ATEX and CSAus/c. A wide range of accessory items is available for virtually any powder and bulk solid application.
