Precision Digital Trident PD-765 and PD8-765 digital panel meters
Precision Digital has released updated versions of the Trident Series digital panel meters. The model PD-765 process meter now features two relays, a 4-20 mA analog output and a 24 VDC power supply all in one meter. It is housed in a shallow, 3.6″ depth, 1/8 DIN enclosure that features a NEMA 4X front panel. Two display heights are available - 14.2 and 30.5 mm. Each display is adjustable to lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. This allows the meter to easily be read from distances up to 10 m. For hazardous area applications, the model PD8-765 integrates all the Trident meter functions into an explosion-proof, die-cast aluminium enclosure with through-glass SafeTouch buttons and worldwide agency approvals.
The Trident panel meters are designed to handle a wide range of level, flow rate, temperature and pressure applications. They can be field programmed to accept process voltage (0-5 V, 1-5 V, etc) and current (4-20 mA) inputs, 100 Ω RTDs and the four most common thermocouples: J, K, T and E. Process inputs can be scaled for virtually any engineering units. Temperature inputs can be programmed to display in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius; the type K thermocouple can display up to 1260°C.
The Trident meters feature a variety of options: two relays, a 4-20 mA output, 24 VDC transmitter supply and serial communication with Modbus RTU protocol. The 4-20 mA output option converts the meter into a transmitter with a digital display, making it suitable for temperature applications.
