The OL liquid level sensors, from Nohken, Japan are miniature sensors designed for the measurement of liquid, oil and chemical levels in small tanks and containers. They can be used either as a complete solution or in OEM applications.

The sensors can be installed on the top of a tank either by fixing a nut or by screw-in mounting. The float moves up and down with the liquid level, turning a switch on or off in the process. The reed switch senses the position of the magnet in the liquid level sensor relative to itself and switches on or off accordingly.

The liquid level sensors come in various models, able to measure different media. These are constructed of various materials ranging from stainless steel to thermoplastics.

Pressures up to 2 MPa and temperatures of up to 100°C cause no problems and the rugged sensors are claimed to be fully protected from the harshness of various oils and chemicals.
