Astro-Med TMX high-speed data acquisition system

Tuesday, 22 June, 2010 | Supplied by: Metromatics Pty Ltd

Astro-Med has introduced the TMX high-speed data acquisition system, offering general-purpose data capture, review, archive and analysis. It features 96 channels of data recording to a 1 TB hard drive dedicated solely to data capture, allowing for data to be recorded for many months in a single file.

Featuring the company’s latest LookBack and QuickReview technologies, the TMX is claimed to enable instant review of several gigabytes of data during ongoing long-term data capture, and embedded scope capture and intelligent triggering capabilities preserve hard-drive space while minimising archive time.

Highly customisable, the data acquisition system accepts a wide variety of inputs, including voltage, thermocouple, DC bridge, video, audio, IRIG, GPS and MIL-1553 inputs. All inputs are fully synchronised, eliminating latency. It is available in both benchtop and rack-mount versions.

The system can be configured and optimised for use in a broad spectrum of industries, including telemetry, aerospace and defence, automotive, power generation, transportation, steelworks, telecommunications and heavy industry.
