The HDA 4800 is a high-precision pressure transmitter specially developed for the measurement demands of steelworks technology. The instrument has a robust sensor cell with a thin-film strain gauge on a stainless steel membrane. It has a high tolerance to ambient temperature changes with a thermal drift for zero point and range of less than ±0.01%FS/°C and an accuracy better than ±0.15%FS.
The HDA 4800 EMC characteristics are also claimed to guarantee signal stability during the harshest high-frequency, electromagnetic interference that can be found in steel and rolling mills.
Additional protection against humidity and vibrations is achieved by encapsulation. By using a shrink-on sleeve, the sensor is protected against bending.
