Simplified viscosity measurement boosts plant productivity and saves money
21 January, 2008 | Supplied by: Endress+Hauser Australia Pty Ltd
The accurate measurement and control of viscosity is absolutely critical in many processes as it determines the product's characteristics and quality and can optimise input material costs
Wastewater analyser
17 December, 2007 | Supplied by: Endress+Hauser Australia Pty Ltd
Endress+Hauser have launched an inline analyser for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. The new STIP-scan device overcomes the costly sampling and maintenance procedures required by historical 'cabinet analysers' since it operates directly in the process.
High resolution chart recorder
19 November, 2007 | Supplied by: CrispTech Pty Ltd
CrispTech has announced a range of paperless chart recorders, the VR series. Available in two models, the VR6 offers up to six analog inputs and the VR18 handles up to 18. The VR series offers extremely high VGA screen resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The colour LCD screen is also larger and more readable, giving a 6.4" display.
Magnetic flow transmitter
19 November, 2007 | Supplied by: Emerson
The Rosemount 8732E transmitter from Emerson Process Management has multiple diagnostics available. Best-in-class performance coupled with advanced diagnostics provides unparalleled process management capabilities. With an optional backlit two-line by 16-character local operator interface, the transmitter can be configured by optical switches to simplify adjustments in hazardous environments without removing the cover.
Overflow monitor
19 November, 2007 | Supplied by: Bintech Systems Pty Ltd
Pulsar's SludgeFinder sludge level monitor uses a self-cleaning acoustic sensor that sits under the liquid surface of a clarifier or sludge tank. An acoustic signal is bounced off the bottom of the tank and modulations in the returning signal are interpreted to provide a profile of the sludge in the tank.
Temperature measuring instrument
19 November, 2007 | Supplied by: Testo Pty Ltd
The testo 925 is a single channel measuring instrument with fast thermo-element probes (Type K) for daily measurement of temperature. The waterproof protective cover, 'TopSafe', protects the instrument from dirt and knocks. The display can be illuminated for measurements in surroundings with bad light conditions. The broad range of measurement from -50 to +1000°C, and the possibility of attaching an extensive range of fast air probes, immersion probes and surface probes make the testo 925 a universally applicable thermometer.
Humidity/temperature transmitters
17 October, 2007 | Supplied by: Dwyer Instruments (Aust) Pty Ltd
The Series RHL Humidity or Humidity/Temperature Transmitter from Dwyer Instruments provides a stable, repeatable and accurate means of measuring humidity only or humidity and temperature in the harshest of environments. The polymer capacitance sensor is not affected by condensation, fog, high humidity or contaminants, and the state-of-the-art sensor is designed for years of calibration-free service.
