Turck metal differentiating proximity sensors
23 November, 2009 | Supplied by: Turck Australia Pty Ltd
Turck has announced its analog+ proximity sensors have been enhanced to differentiate between varying types of metal during detection — independent of their distance from the sensor. Available in ring and flat housings, these material detection sensors provide sensing ranges up to 11 mm and are suitable for stamping, die-cutting and metal-sorting applications, where different metal types must be readily and accurately detected.

The Kistler Staiger Mohilo NC joining module is suitable for force-displacement monitored assembly press-fit and joining processes in compact configurations.
Magnetic linear encoders
10 November, 2009 | Supplied by: Turck Australia Pty Ltd
Turck has introduced a line of Kübler robust magnetic linear encoders. Utilising A and B output voltage channels plus a periodic index with the corresponding inverted channels, these encoders are designed to achieve high accuracy in a broad range of linear motion applications. The T8.LI20 and T8.LI50 linear encoders are available with either a push-pull output or an RS422 interface and provide a voltage range from 4.8 to 30 VDC.
Electric linear actuator
10 November, 2009 | Supplied by: Pneumatic Products
The integrated-motor actuator (IMA) from Tolomatic combines a servomotor with Tolomatic’s rod-style actuator in a compact package. The IMA’s integrated design provides higher dynamic performance by eliminating the need for separate motors, couplers, motor mounts, gearing and belts. The result is reduced component costs, assembly time and failure points.
Registration mark sensors
10 November, 2009 | Supplied by: Micromax Pty Ltd
The R58A Series registration mark sensors from Banner Engineering are designed for detecting registration marks in printing and material registration applications often found in the web printing, product packaging and pharmaceutical industries.
Controllers with long-life contacts
10 November, 2009 | Supplied by: Cynebar
Watlow has developed its No-Arc technology that extends the life of relays. A No-Arc relay is a mechanical relay with arc suppression provided through the use of smart electronics. This technology reduces the amount of arcing across the relay contacts and has a life of more than four million cycles compared to relays without arc suppression that have a life of approximately 100,000 operations.
Non-contact torque sensor
10 November, 2009 | Supplied by: Metromatics Pty Ltd
Futek Advanced Sensor Technology has introduced an internally amplified rotary torque sensor. The sensor is a non-contact (slip-ring-free) rotary torque sensor, using inductance for power and output signals, and has a compact design and supports rotational speeds of up to 7000 rpm.
