Production quality management

Citect has announced CitectIIM Quality, a business intelligence solution for manufacturing which enables production managers to optimise production through the automatic real-time logging of qualitative data directly from the production control system.

As the second release in Citect's suite of industrial information management (IIM) analysis modules, CitectIIM Quality delivers timely and accurate reports to key personnel allowing better, more informed decision-making for improved output quality and control throughout the manufacturing cycle.

Through the analysis of out-of-control values and the automatic identification of out-of-spec values during production processes, CitectIIM Quality enables quality managers to make prioritised decisions to quickly bring the product back into specification thereby reducing wastage costs and increasing first-pass quality.

Automatic capture and logging capabilities of both the quality of the materials and of the processes provides greater visibility and control over supplier quality, and allows regulatory and customer requirements to be met.
