Process controller

Q5 is a universal controller suitable to solve many applications including the most sophisticated ones.

Due to this the Q5 can be used as a standardised unit. Open and powerful, the Q5 controller incorporates three serial comms: Profibus DP, baudrate of 12 Mbps and user configurable profile file; SLAVE Modbus; Master Modbus. Input is universal for Pt100, T/C, DT, mA, mV, frequency, potentiometer, remote setpoint and customised; digital inputs are three. Sampling time is 100 ms.

The controller includes: single action PID algorithm; heat/cool action with three characterisations and with double PID algorithm; valve drive (open/stop/close) floating PID algorithm; on/off control; two degrees of freedom for the correct to both setpoint changes and process disturbances; automatic selection of the tuning; six outputs for control, retransmission and alarm (four relays/SSRs drive + two analog or SSRs); absolute, band, deviation, latching, blocking and loop or sensor break alarms; memory chip to save and transfer configuration and parameters without a PC; 'fast view' to show the most used parameters; three memorised setpoints; four programs with 16 segments each; transmitter power supply; IP65 front; and configuration from a PC.
