Airclenz is a method to control nuisance, odorous or harmful gas emissions.

It has been developed with space and disposal requirements in mind. The combination of adsorption and thermal decomposition offers the maximum efficiency in the minimum space and avoids the problem of large-scale disposal of spent adsorbent while minimising energy demands.

According to the manufacturer, the units have: minimal operational and maintenance costs; long service life; easy installation; small physical size; secure construction; no addition of chemicals to the system; and the unit will treat air during a power failure for a period of time and act as a venting device indefinitely.

The units are individually designed to process specific airflow volumes and pollutant requirements. Airclenz is suited to emissions that can be oxidised and includes the following: sewage gases - H2S, Mercaptans; fuel vapours - petrol, diesel, benzine, toluene; paint fumes; phenols; amines - fish, food odours; composting gases - fertilisers, methane; and volatile organic compounds - perfume.

The most widespread applications to date have been in the control of sewage odour, where units have been in operation for several years with water authorities.
