The LMC-J-0040-6 is an optoelectronic distance measuring module for industrial applications.

It operates on the basis of non-contact comparative phase measurement with amplitude modulation. The laser diode (cw operation) has a divergence of 0.6 mrad. The sensor alignment can be achieved with the help of the red pilot laser.

The measuring range is on any natural surface between 0.2 to 30 m. For 30 to 100 m the range depends on the surface reflectivity coefficient (concrete 30%, white paper 90%) and for more than 100% the company can deliver special plastic reflectors with a very high reflectivity coefficient of 2000%.

The measured result is available on the RS232/RS422/Bluetooth data interface. A digital switching output, an analog 4-20mA output and optional Profibus output is also available.

The Bluetooth sensor allows wireless communication with other Bluetooth devices such as personal computers, PDAs, mobile phones and many more. For simple replacement of communication cables it is possible to establish fixed Bluetooth connections together with a Bluetooth-serial converter.
