Built on a solid Debian/GNU Linux foundation, the Xandros Business Desktop OS is engineered from the ground up to integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise environments, where security, compatibility, and ease of use are essential requirements.

Features include: authenticate against Windows Primary Domain Controllers (PDC) and Active Directory Servers; execute domain controller user profiles and group policy logon scripts; automatically connect to network resources and immediately share printers and files; 'drag-and-drop' files from anywhere to anywhere, including Windows network shares and FTP sites; browse and mount network file systems (NFS) for easy file sharing in Linux/Unix environments; locate, by name, any computer on a Windows network; and right-click a folder or printer to share it on a Windows network.

The business edition supports: thin-client terminal emulation; SAP client support; StarOffice 7 with full commercial support handles Microsoft Office, documents, spreadsheets and presentations; word processor complete with spell-checker, thesaurus, outlining, document-compare and other essential tools, spreadsheets compatible with Microsoft Excel; dynamic web-based shows to Macromedia Flash, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Macromedia Dreamweaver; and a Palm Pilot with desktop calendar and address book synchronising.
