Helical gearmotor

A range of helical inline gear units and gearmotors with up to 66% more torque than their predecessors is being launched in Australia and New Zealand by Bonfiglioli.

The compact and energy saving C1 series - available in eight key torque classes from 100-1500 Nm - increases the performance of each frame size and increases the ratio density for all standard units while reducing overall length.

Incorporating a versatile ratio range advancing in four stages from 2.6:1 to 1481:1 (with even larger ratios available on request), the C series exploits the modularity and parts commonality of Bonfiglioli's A, C, F, S and W products.

The C1 series combines durable but lightweight construction with the strength and reliability of nickel chrome steel gearing and heavy duty bearings which are capable of carrying very high radial and axial loads.

The versatility of the low noise, high efficiency C1 series makes it suitable for use in conveyors, cranes, mixers, rotary valves, pumps, winches, elevators and special purpose-built equipment. The C1 series suits a wide range of applications including food and industrial processing, packaging, printing, grain handling, ports, chemicals and pharmaceutical manufacture.

The uncluttered lines of C1 series gearmotor housings are easy to clean and well suited to industries such as food and materials processing in which machinery needs to be cleaned regularly to maintain safe and hygienic working conditions.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) design techniques have been used to help eliminate weight and bulk from areas where they are not needed in the C1 series, while building additional strength and reliability into high load areas, such as the nickel chrome steel gears.
