The Parker Bayside stealth 'advanced' gear head has been improved to reduce heat and increase internal lubrication that will extend seal and gear head life.

The stealth helical planetary gear head has provided engineered advantages with its helical planetary design. The helical tooth contact and greater face width results in higher load capability, smoother tooth engagement and lower backlash. This HeliCrown gear tooth design has performed well over the years offering a quiet (less than 68 dB) and stronger gear.

The new stealth 'advanced' gear head has been improved to reduce heat and increase internal lubrication that will extend seal and gear head life. Engineering design enhancements include: the use of smaller, low friction 'viton' seals reduce start-up torque (stiction) and increase efficiency, the use of oil to improve the lubrication of seals and bearings, magnetic drain plugs to attract metal wear and offer regular maintenance for oil changes, a new front cover design to make seal replacement and field service easy and lower RA shaft surface finishes to improve seal life.
