The WS-855a is a compact industrial computer featuring a 380 mm high-resolution LCD (1024 x 768), stainless steel chassis, a range of optional power supplies, front LCD on/off switch and an optional 10 slot backplane. This workstation has been designed to meet the needs of harsh industrial environments.
A USB port, PS/2 connector and power switch are located on the front panel for ease of accessibility and can be locked behind a door to protect the system against unauthorised use.
In addition, the industrial computer features a membrane keypad (including full numerical, A-Z, control keys and F1-F10 function keys), anti-vibration card clamp and an optional resistive touch screen (via an RS-232 interface).
The WS-855a supports one 5.25" CD-ROM, one 3.5" FDD and one 3.5" HDD drive bays. The unit is 8U high and is rack/panel mountable, therefore suited to a number of industrial applications such as manufacturing and process control.
