Michael Eckle has been managing Wampfler Australia following his predecessor Ivor Watt's retirement earlier this year. The company, with its headquarters in Brisbane, is a 100% subsidiary of Wampfler AG, a manufacturer of systems for energy and data transmission to mobile consumers.

Michael Eckle started his career with Wampfler in 2001, as a project manager at the group's head office in Weil am Rhein, Germany. In 2003, he was transferred to the Australian subsidiary, where he started as a business development manager. Besides its Australian customAers, Wampfler Pty Ltd looks after its neighbouring countries New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. The staff comprises 14 people in sales, project planning and service, advising companies in various sectors, such as mining, surface mining, ship loading terminals, crane technology, logistics and automotive.
