In a breakthrough for the oil and gas industry in Asia-Pacific, Western Australian company ISA Technologies has announced that it is working with Schlumberger, the world's leading supplier of information solutions for the oil and gas industry.
Schlumberger has a number of information centres around the globe and has chosen to work with ISA Technologies in Australia to expand its capabilities by providing local companies with access to their multi-platform explorations and production (E&P) applications. ISA has installed the Schlumberger LiveQuest* ASP solution on the computer systems in its high-performance Computing and Visualisation Centre so that companies in the region can access leading-edge software solutions "˜as and when' required.
The Department of Industry and Resources in Western Australia has signed up as the first client to utilise the LiveQuest solution via ISA Technologies' Visualisation Centre.
Mark Gabrielson, general manager, Petroleum and Royalties Division, Department of Industry and Resources WA, commented, "We recognise the improved cost benefits of the new ISA/Schlumberger offering and, as such, the department will now access the LiveQuest solution via ISA's facilities, rather than using the solution on our own infrastructure."
