Sydney pipeline contract

Construction firm Leighton Contractors Pty Ltd has been awarded a $130 million contract to build a water pipeline in western Sydney.
The contract to design and construct the 24 km Liverpool Ashfield water pipeline was awarded by government body Sydney Water Corporation. Major pumping stations will be built as part of the project, which is expected to be completed in 2008.
Leighton Contractors Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leighton Holdings Ltd.
