Rockwell Automation has appointed Andrew Sia as business development manager for process solutions in the Asia Pacific region. Sia, with an extensive background in distributed control systems, brings 12 years cross-industry experience to the growing process solutions group.

Sia is responsible for process solutions business across Australia and New Zealand. This newly created position serves as a focal point for Rockwell Automation's local process control activities. It complements similar appointments in China and India, reflecting Rockwell Automation's strong and expanding presence in the process control sector.

"In a manufacturing environment where speed of production and decision making are becoming more critical, Rockwell Automation's process control technology delivers the ideal solution," said Sia.

"These days, decision makers require a solid business case to support plant capital expenditure. The technical solution remains important, of course, but the business imperatives must be there," he said. "My role is to understand the business requirements and provide appropriate assistance. I look forward to working in this manner with our clients across the region, and building partnerships that foster mutual success."
