Queensland cottons on
Wednesday, 15 October, 2003
Leading Australian cotton organisation, Queensland Cotton has purchased a Financial Management Solution (FMS) from software and services company SAS. The solution will be used to help speed up the organisation's monthly reporting, streamline its budgeting and develop robust models for forecasting, thus freeing up its accounting resources for more strategic analysis.
Queensland Cotton runs SAP but felt the software offered insufficient reporting capability. The company implemented an SAS data warehouse two years ago and has been successfully using it to leverage the vast amount of data that has been difficult to access in its SAP system. When Queensland Cotton wanted to improve the organisation's reporting capabilities, it made sense to turn to SAS again.
