Monday, 07 May, 2007
Omron celebrated 20 years of business in Australia in April with more than 100 guests and staff from Australia and New Zealand.
Omron started as a company in Japan in 1933, but did not sell into the Australian market until the mid-1960s.
A number of different distribution channels were used until Omron opened its first office in Pymble in 1987. This was followed with the opening of offices in Melbourne (1989), New Zealand (1991), Brisbane (1994) and Adelaide (1999).
Omron Asia-Pacific deputy manager Louis Lui and Oceania managing director Greg Field shared the opportunity to reminisce on past achievements.
