Omron and Delmia form partnership
Friday, 04 March, 2005
Omron Corp and Delmia Corp, a Dassault Systèmes company, announced a strategic partnership through which Omron will distribute Delmia Automation as its collaborative programming desktop for control engineers.
Omron becomes a Delmia business partner and will integrate Delmia Automation into its new generation of control and network solutions using Dassault Systèmes' Component Application Architecture Version 5 (CAA V5).
John Moore, ARC Advisory Group, commented, "This is Dassault's second partnership with an automation supplier to take Delmia's Automation platform to market, the first being with Schneider Electric. The partnership with Omron should extend the credibility of the Delmia solution as control system agnostic. It will also extend Dassault's vision for this product to its fastest growing regional market, Asia. It's good to see that two leading automation suppliers are supporting this product. And while it may still be early, what I'd really like to see is some demonstrated successes in the end user market."
