Citect has been awarded contracts with Western Mining Corporation (WMC) Resources and BHP Billiton Iron Ore to supply CitectIIM. The software contracts are worth AU$300K and AU$380K respectively.

"Citect is enjoying working with leading resource companies like BHP Billiton and WMC by providing high value CitectIIM users that improve the performance of existing plant assets," said Frank Volckmar, General Manager, Australia, Citect.

"Results and feedback from working with customers to drive operational benefits has been very positive and is increasing demand for CitectIIM. We are now developing sales and integration channels for further expansion," continued Volckmar. WMC Olympic Dam Operations implemented a CitectIIM solution as an integral part of its Mine Reliability Program. Increased productivity was realised in only 6 months and WMC acknowledges that this could not have been achieved without the use of CitectIIM. BHP Billiton Iron Ore has purchased CitectIIM software to assist with its e2e project, which is part of a long-term operational improvement commitment. The outcomes of this high profile project include supply chain visibility and plant level process improvement through the company's mining, rail and port operations.
