Linde and Magu cooperate
Wednesday, 13 December, 2006
Swedish company, Magu Automation AB, manufacturers of process equipment for coating mobile phones, and AGA, the Swedish subsidiary of Linde Gas, have agreed to cooperate in the field of surface coating, gas-related products and wet-chemistry. AGA has sold a licence for its concept CC 1200 that Magu will offer its customers. The agreement means Magu can now offer coating and lacquer equipment within a moveable clean room to any supplier of plastic parts around the globe so that surface decoration and functional coating can be carried out on the spot. To install the transportable coating/lacquer equipment to a plastic production unit will take only a few hours.
Magu is well established in the global field of consumer products and generates 60% of its business outside Europe - mainly in China, Malaysia, Korea, Brazil and Mexico. Due to the acquisition of the worldwide IPR (intellectual property rights) and sublicence rights from Linde Gas for compact coating and UV treatment of metallic and plastic objects, a new platform is being created. With the Linde Gas technology, Magu is now in a position to launch the next generation of process equipment, as well as wet-chemical consumption and verification management. Apart from mobile phones, there will be other fields such as lenses, wristwatches and glasses.
