Honeywell to buy Zellweger

Honeywell International is to acquire Zellweger Analytics, a Swiss maker of toxic and flammable gas detection systems. Financial terms weren't disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter, subject to regulatory approval.
Zellweger's gas detection technology complements Honeywell's existing fire systems and sensors portfolio. Zellweger Analytics, which has annual sales of about $170 million, will become part of the Life Safety business unit within Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions.
