Getting IP right
Tuesday, 20 May, 2003
The Australian Information Industry Association and Gilbert + Tobin have launched the Software Legal Guide. Written in layman's terms the guide provides a broad overview of both the legal and business issues involved in running a software business.
While intellectual property (IP) is increasingly being recognised as a valuable business asset, there is little information currently available to help Australia's information and communications technology (ICT) companies effectively manage their IP assets from inception to market.
Over 600 copies of this valuable business tool will be distributed to AIIA members, Software Showcase exhibitors and other key industry stakeholders free of charge, ensuring that small to medium companies are educated about their IP rights and successfully taking them to market.
