GE Fanuc announces go-to-market agreement with Wipro Technologies
GE Fanuc Automation has announced that it has entered into a solution provider go-to-market agreement with Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Limited. The two companies will work together globally to better serve manufacturing enterprises in the automotive, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and consumer packaged goods industries with product management solutions.
"This is a significant step towards increasing reach as well as establishing complementary expertise in execution," said Ed Martin, chief marketing officer for GE Fanuc Automation.
"Wipro Technologies is a well-respected provider of implementation services in production management. Couple that expertise with GE Fanuc's industry-leading Proficy solutions and we have a winning solution for customers."
The scope of the agreement covers services, point solution development and joint go-to-market activities. Wipro's knowledge of supply chain, plant floor operations, enterprise technologies and business processes will enable timely and effective deployment of GE Fanuc production management solutions which include the Proficy family of products: Proficy Tracker, Proficy Plant Applications, Proficy HMI/SCADA Cimplicity and iFIX, as well as Proficy Historian, Proficy Change Management and Proficy Real-Time Information Portal products that encompass an integrated suite of applications providing execution, logistics, quality, tracking, reporting and visibility throughout all of a company's plant operations on any scale.
