Electrical engineers top earners in graduate study

University of Newcastle graduates have achieved higher starting salaries than the national median in the latest starting salaries report.
Electrical Engineers enjoyed the highest starting salaries amongst the University of Newcastle graduates at $44,700 and ranked second only to Dentistry in the national survey.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Roger Holmes says the figures show the University of Newcastle is achieving a high success rate for its students reflected in their employability at above the national rate of starting salaries.
"University of Newcastle graduates across all disciplines had a median starting salary of $36,000, almost 3% higher than in the previous year's annual report on graduate earnings and above the national median by $1000."
