Chairman of the board chosen

Flowserve Corporation has announced that Thomas E Ferguson has been chosen as chairman of the board for the Hydraulic Institute (HI) for 2007-2008.
Ferguson serves as president of Flowserve Pump Division and was recently promoted to this chairmanship at the Hydraulic Institute's 90th Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
"I am very pleased to chair an organisation that plays such an integral role in the global pump industry," says Ferguson.
"This past year's term as president was a rewarding experience, and I now look forward to further guiding the Hydraulic Institute as a leading organisation for our industry and our professional standards."
A senior vice-president of Flowserve Corporation, Ferguson is an industry veteran with more than 24 years' experience in the flow control industry. This includes nearly 20 years with Flowserve and one of its predecessor companies, BW/IP International.
Prior to serving as president of Flowserve Pumps, a position he has held since 2003, Ferguson was president of Flowserve Flow Solutions. Before that, he spent 14 years in various sales, marketing, technical and general management positions with the Flow Solutions and Pump Divisions.
