Airport contract for Citect
Thursday, 03 April, 2003
Citect has been awarded a contract worth more than AUD$3 million to upgrade the baggage-handling control system at Sydney airport's international terminal.
The decision, by Sydney Airports Corporation Limited (SACL), will increase the throughput and economy with which baggage is processed from check-in to loading.
Citect was one of three international bidders competing for this prestigious project. Partnering with baggage-handling control system experts, Berill Control Systems (BCS), Citect will provide a scalable solution that can grow to accommodate future SACL requirements.
The baggage control system to be delivered by Citect will enable both operations and management personnel to reliably control, monitor and analyse the performance of the system.
The Sydney Airport project, which includes the provision of software and services and post-implementation support, is due for completion in December 2003.
