ABB takes over Stromberg
Tuesday, 07 December, 2004
ABB announced it has taken over the distribution rights for the Stromberg range of switches and fuses in Australia.
The products covered by the new distribution agreement in Australia include Stromberg, Slimline and XLP, which along with ABB's SACE range finally give ABB the opportunity to complete its portfolio of high quality, easy to use low voltage products in Australia.
"To avoid any interruption of supply to Stromberg customers, ABB and NHP will work together to ensure the transition of product distribution is smooth," says Robert Zhu, ABB Australia's senior vice president of automation products.
"Customers will have the choice of who they want to purchase from. Of course, ABB has the advantage of a full portfolio of inter-related and supporting products to offer its customers," explains Zhu. "ABB drives, motors, instrumentation, breakers and switches are now all available from a single source supplier and this will help customers reduce the headache of managing various sources of products."
