Consisting of over 150 free events, National Instruments' seminars and workshops will take place in capital cities across Australia and New Zealand throughout the year, allowing scientists and engineers to keep abreast of the latest technologies and trends in measurement and automation.

In 2005, five new events have been added to the event schedule. "At NI we feel it is essential to provide scientists and engineers with the latest information on technologies and trends in industry, allowing them to clearly identify the most suitable software and hardware for their applications," said Jeremy Carter, Oceania branch manager. "We continually receive fantastic feedback on our events, and consider this a testament to the successful implementation of this philosophy."

Scientists, engineers, students and industry professionals are invited to attend three new hands-on workshops this year: Step-by-Step Data Acquisition, Developing Real-Time Applications and Advanced LabVIEW. Hands-on workshops give delegates a great opportunity to participate in live software and hardware demonstrations and complete various activities under expert guidance. National Instruments will continue to run hands-on workshops in Machine Vision and Scientific Imaging, and Introduction to LabVIEW throughout 2005.

New seminars in 2005 include LabVIEW in Control Design, and a series of bundled modular LabVIEW seminars encompassing LabVIEW with Bluetooth technology, measurement systems with LabVIEW PDA, best practices for storing test data, advanced application timing with LabVIEW Real-Time and more.
