Powerful new MEX software with superb handling ability
Brisbane IT Company Maintenance Experts has recently released a significant new version of its software. MEXv11 now delivers maintenance software with perfect balance.
"MEXv11 is a major leap forward for our system's functionality. Customers get the same user friendly environment, but with powerful features that give results" says Managing Director Stephen Ninnes.
"Maintenance management techniques and technologies are constantly changing, so we're delivering not only what our customers need now, but the building blocks of future maintenance trends. MEXv11 development is the direct result of listening to our customers."
MEX is a computerised maintenance management software system (CMMS) that gives companies the power to take control of their maintenance operation, incorporating extensive features with system simplicity. MEXv11 helps to deliver new levels of maintenance efficiency, reduce breakdowns, increase profits and save time and paperwork.
MEXv11 - Overview
MEXv11 has elegantly simple formatting to give users an easy-to-read software system that reflects consistency and quality. Functions and buttons have a logical presentation, and information is displayed in a manner that is clear and concise.
With MEXv11's practical modular system, users can go quickly to any part of their operation, record and analyse key activities, and print practical, relevant reports and graphs.
The success of MEX has been driven by design and development from the shop floor up. The software is designed and supported by a team grounded in maintenance management. Dedication to customers and the maintenance industry ensures that products are refined to optimise maintenance efficiency. And the end result of this involvement is a feature packed computerised maintenance management system that is very easy to use.
MEX Asset Register
With an expanded Asset Register, MEXv11 lets users segment their plant more effectively and provides extended management reporting capabilities. Up to 7 levels of hierarchy can now be utilised to refine asset tracking with a new easy-to-use tree structure display.
With MEXv11, the Asset Register delivers a control centre for an entire maintenance operation with practical functions that align with the daily tasks performed. Users have the immediate access to all the critical areas of their MEX system. Whether they want to move or view Assets, add Work Orders, Preventative Maintenance, Readings or History, users can complete virtually any function from this central location.
MEX Regions
MEXv11 Regions function now lets users effectively segregate their organisation within their MEX software. This new functionality allows users to view only the equipment, supplier parts and related information that is specific to their area of a company. This means they get the flexibility to handle maintenance with a single database, but apply security that simplifies usability. With MEXv11 Regions, database maintenance is significantly reduced and senior management can easily produce reports on the entire organization or on any selected site.
MEX Work Permits
Functionality to address safety permits and certificates has also been included in the latest version of MEX. Many companies currently use paper based systems, however, every time a permit or certificate is initiated they must start from scratch again. The time spent, probability of error, and the difficulty of retrieving information at a later time, are all high cost factors.
MEXv11 Work Permits provide clients with a streamlined method of permit approval, electronic notification, and the ability to maintain necessary paperwork and certification. It seamlessly embeds work permits into a maintenance system and allows a single process to monitor assets, schedule maintenance and create permits and safety certificates.
Electronic permit tracking and approvals has a number of advantages, including cost savings, safety improvements and increased compliance. Companies can ensure that the same standard, approved process is used by everyone every time, reducing variation and allowing system-wide consistency and operation. Data integrity is enhanced as information is entered only once and out-of-date information is eliminated. MEXv11 has preset forms for permits, but if these are not suitable or required, users can easily create their own or customise an existing permit to suit their needs.
MEX ToDo List
MEXv11 has furthered simplified routine maintenance functions, by including a new ToDo list for task control. Keeping track of work has always been time-consuming, particularly when the task is too small to warrant raising a new work order, or is an incomplete task on an existing work order. The MEX ToDo list lets you control all tasks, ensuring that nothing gets overlooked. Flag and assign incomplete tasks from work orders to the ToDo List, and view and monitor outstanding tasks for any asset. Close work orders in a timely manner, and simply flag the incomplete work - this will improve the accuracy of your MEX data.
MEX Security
Security features in MEXv11 have been simplified too - another feature that will assist with routine maintenance jobs and give users the flexibility to meet their individual needs. Pre-set security groups that can be copied and edited accelerate the set up process. Access rights can be monitored, security streamlined and system performance improved when security is activated in MEXv11.
MEX Inspections
MEX Inspections provides effective centralised control over the equipment inspection process. It also enables the delivery of a mobile inspection system that guides operators through single or multiple inspections. In MEXv11, the process of setting up inspection routines has been simplified, as users can embed them into their preventative maintenance plan.
