Siemens PLM Teamcenter 9

Siemens PLM Software has announced the latest release of Teamcenter PLM software. Siemens PLM also recently released Teamcenter Mobility to enable engineers to design and develop while on the move.

The Teamcenter 9 release adds an integrated systems engineering solution and tightens the integration across the unified architecture so companies can make smarter decisions with better visibility into the impact of those decisions. Enhancements across the entire Teamcenter range significantly improve productivity so companies can get to market faster, while reducing total cost of ownership.

Teamcenter 9 Software includes a fully integrated approach to systems engineering and requirements management, enhanced integration of content management and an extension of Teamcenter’s Service Lifecycle Management with a new service scheduling and execution module, as well as stylesheets to make it easier to tailor the user experience.

Integration is provided with familiar tools like Microsoft’s Outlook messaging software, Word, Excel spreadsheet software and Visio software, as well as MathWorks’ MATLAB and Simulink environment, supporting a variety of methodologies for systems definition and modelling using the tools that engineers are used to using.

Teamcenter now offers a service scheduling and execution module that integrates the service scheduling and execution management solutions, enabling companies to more effectively control cost by defining and efficiently scheduling service orders and tasks. It tracks and captures the execution of service tasks to maintain an accurate history of assets and service records. Service personnel can also use the feedback capability to provide input to engineers, further helping to increase product performance and reliability.
