Proficy SmartStart Manufacturing Energy Management Solution

GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms has announced the availability of the Proficy SmartStart Manufacturing Energy Management Solution, a packaged software and services solution that offers a low-risk approach to energy savings within manufacturing. Providing insight into energy usage, the application is designed to help users reduce energy costs, improve production planning, identify sources of energy waste and drive energy management best practices, while correlating energy costs with manufacturing production.

The application, developed by EnteGreat, is a value-added application of Proficy software components that can be deployed to provide insights into the energy profile and consumption at each manufacturing site within an enterprise. EnteGreat has combined GE Fanuc’s Proficy software with its understanding of production efficiencies to deliver this application.

The package provides information on manufacturing context (product, batch, lot, equipment) to energy usage and real-time visualisation of contextualised energy information, which enables manufacturing personnel to optimise planning and execution decisions. It also helps to integrate manufacturing energy management into operational excellence programs and provides timely and accurate energy consumption data for performance management reporting and analysis.

SmartStart offerings are provided to deliver standard, configurable capabilities of Proficy while avoiding the cost and risk of custom coding or system development. They capitalise on the application expertise of the company’s solutions ecosystem and the structured evaluation period to improve time-to-value and reduce total cost of ownership.
