Schneider/Citect has released Version 4.0 of their MES software, Ampla. The latest release features the Inventory module which has been built on the ISA-95 standard to assist mining companies to increase production efficiencies and return greater profits.
Ampla Inventory is designed to allow mining organisations to gain more control and visibility of production at work centre levels, such as the various stages of processing eg, mills, stockpiles, concentrators and furnaces.
Ampla Inventory has been designed to help mining organisations manage, control and understand their inventory. With Ampla, operational data becomes available to management for business planning. Customer expectations can be met by having more control over production to meet sales and orders. It allows you to have tighter control over finished goods and stockpiles, and supports your delivery commitments, ensuring you have the right product at the right place at the right time.
Additional features that support the MMM environment include: both continuous and batch processing support; lot FIFO, LIFO, mixed and selective lot movement behaviours; real-time visibility at a work centre level to enable increased control of the use and storage of raw materials; real-time monitoring of process of materials (raw, work-in-process, finished goods or consumables); and tracking of both manual and automated material movements.
Ampla also provides workflows for checking and confirmation of records, and KPI reporting for decision making from the plant floor to the executive level, using interfaces with industry-standard reporting tools for ease of use.
