Condition monitoring system

The Vibromac 107 is designed to provide continuous condition monitoring. An upgrade from previous versions, the system allows the user increased plant availability, through the monitoring of many operational conditions involved in screening and feeding of material.

Vibromac 107 provides bearing condition and oil temperature diagnostics of screen exciters, giving the user early warning as to bearing and oil degradation, to allow preventive maintenance to avoid unscheduled stoppages.

The system reliably prevents structural damage of the screen through the continuous monitoring of exciter synchronisation and two-plane acceleration. An alarm sounds on the development of the destructive twisting of the screen and identifies possible causes to allow rapid inspection and rectification.

Monitoring provides reliable and continuous data collection, without placing additional time demands on the plant operators. The system also alerts maintenance personnel as to when machine parts are about to reach the end of their service life.

Monitoring of acceleration in two directions confirms that the exciter plug weights are correctly fitted and matched to screen vibrational duty. The integrity of the screen structure is also monitored, with any degradation reported, eg, loose Huckbolts.

For safety and to provide long service life, the system performs its own health check functions, measuring internal temperature, correct sensor installation and cable integrity.

The system will trend vibration levels and bearing condition levels over a 300-day period.
