APS Industrial appointed agent for EPLAN

APS Industrial (APS) has announced it has been appointed as agent for EPLAN in Australia, effective from 1 December 2023.

EPLAN is a platform of computer-aided engineering design software tools for machine, plant and panel builders. With a core focus on efficient engineering, EPLAN is designed to enable electrical, automation and mechatronic engineers to optimise and streamline engineering processes when it comes to machine, plant and control cabinet design.

“By using EPLAN, you can save time, reduce errors and ensure compliance to standards and documentation accuracy — it is a natural step in a company’s digital transformation, whether that’s for small, medium or large-scale manufacturing,” said David Hegarty, Managing Director of APS. “In addition to software support across a wide range of engineering disciplines, users of EPLAN have access to a wide range of high-quality device and component data from an ever-growing pool of manufacturers. Of course, this includes our global manufacturing partners including Siemens, Rittal, Weidmüller and KATKO.”

The agency agreement signals another bolstering of the APS capability to support local manufacturers and follows the opening of the APS Manufacturing Centre in Adelaide earlier this year.

“The opening of our national Manufacturing Centre in Adelaide was a clear demonstration of investment and commitment to supporting local businesses and their manufacturing requirements and processes. This agency agreement strengthens that via the ideal platform to streamline challenging engineering processes,” Hegarty added.

“At Eplan we have more than 1300 employees globally at more than 50 locations — all working to optimise processes in engineering at close to 70,000 companies worldwide,” said Keng Lim Koh, Regional Director – SEA & ANZ, Eplan. “This agreement with APS Industrial is extremely exciting as it means we now have the perfect channel partner to apply this capability locally on a scale never before seen — allowing greater communication with the customers and opportunities to increase workflow efficiency across all engineering disciplines for Australian industry”.
