Wieland Electric SLC4 safety light curtains

When operating industrial machinery, it’s imperative to have safety measures in place to prevent people from placing parts of their body, such as fingers, hands or elbows into hazardous areas.

LAPP Australia has introduced the Wieland Electric SLC4 range of safety light curtains with finger, hand and body detection capability.

The two variants — Base and Standard-Muting — can solve standard as well as more complex applications, including muting-applications.

Advantages of Wieland SLC4 light curtains include a zero dead zone with clearly visible LEDs, allowing easy alignment up to 30 m, and onsite diagnostics. Simple plug-and-play configuration means that no software is required.

The SLC4 range offers safety protection to PLe/Category 4/SIL 3 and meets rugged industrial specifications, being shock-resistant and IP67 waterproof, and having an operating temperature range of -30 to +50°C. Muting accessories are available including sensors for cross muting, L muting or T muting.
